If you are in a hurry, or if you are lazy, download the example file below and open it with Inkscape (right-click on the image below and choose “Save image as…”).
If you prefer to do it yourself, start a new document and draw some elements for your presentation.
Draw a rectangle for each frame of your presentation. Scale or rotate it to define the boundaries of each frame.
Select the rectangle for the first frame. In the “Extensions” menu, select “Sozi”.
Two windows will open:
When you start Sozi with a new document, the presentation script will be automatically installed into the document. Later, each time you reopen Sozi with the same document, Sozi will update the script using the latest version installed on your computer.
In Sozi 11.10 and later versions, the “Save” button has been removed. All modifications are saved automatically.
The edit form contains three sections:
The right panel contains the list of all frames in your document. At this time, it should be empty.
When you have created some frames, the frame list will allow you to select existing frames that you wish to modify or reorder. When modifying transition and frame properties, save your changes using the “Save” button.
In this example, we stick to the default settings.
Fill the form and press the “New” button. The frame list now contains the title of the new frame.
Close the “sozi.py” window to go back to Inkscape. You can do this by clicking the “Close” button in the title bar.
Create the other frames, save the document and open it in your favorite web browser.
Here is the completed SVG document:
